School boards shut down 11 classrooms in Halton Region due to COVID-19

COVID-19 has 11 classrooms shut down in schools across Halton Region.

COVID-19 has 11 classrooms shut down in schools across Halton Region.

Information updated today (Oct. 13) by both the Halton District School Board and the Halton Catholic District School Board show five classes in Oakville are closed, three in Burlington, and three in Halton Hills.

The closures are a result of recent positive cases for the coronavirus and for those who may have been in contact with the infected person.

The closed classrooms are at:

Oakville

Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School (two closures)

Emily Carr Public School

Heritage Glen Public School

West Oak Public School

Burlington

Burlington Central Elementary School

Sir E. MacMillan Public School

St. Timothy Catholic Elementary School

Halton Hills

St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School (two cases)

George Kennedy Public School
