Sausages, pet food, lighters and more recalled from stores in Mississauga and Brampton

Health Canada has issued advisories and recalled multiple products this week (June 14 to 20) due to potential health and safety risks.

Residents are advised to check if they have these products at home and avoid using or consuming them out of caution.

The following products are affected:


LBLA Kids 55″ Trampoline

Type: Recall

Risk: The welds on the support frame of the trampoline may fail, posing a fall hazard. As of June 2021, the company has received 5 reports of the trampoline’s legs or straps breaking in Canada and 2 reports of injuries.

Product info: This recall involves a children’s 55″ trampoline with an enclosure net and safety pad. The trampoline is available in a green colour and may be identified by the Amazon ASIN number B085VM6W27.

What you should do: Consumers should immediately take the recalled trampoline away from children and dispose of it. Amazon has already contacted all affected Canadian customers and issued a refund and warning regarding the safety of the product.


Cove 24 inch Built-in Dishwashers

Type: Recall

Risk: The heating element in the dishwasher may not properly shut off and could overheat, posing a fire hazard.

Product info: This recall involves Cove Appliance, Inc., 24 inch (60.9 centimetres) built-in dishwashers, Model Numbers DW2450 and DW2450WS. The affected dishwashers have serial numbers 20000100 through 20044445. The recalled dishwashers are identifiable by the word “Cove” on the far right side of the control panel, located on the top of the unit’s door.

What you should do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dishwasher, unplug the dishwasher from its power source, and contact Cove Appliance to schedule a free inspection and repair.


Grill-It-Kit (12″ Disposable Mini-Quick Grill)

Type: Recall

Risk: The product does not meet warning label requirements, which may lead to it being inside or in an area without proper ventilation, posing a suffocation hazard.

Product info: This recall involves the Grill-It-Kit (12″ Disposable Mini-Quick Grill). The product can be identified by the model 30157 and the UPC 0-47977-30157-0. This charcoal product is used for barbeque cooking.

What you should do: Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return the product to the place of purchase for refund.

Type: Expanded recall

Risk: The products don’t meet the bilingual warning label requirements, which may lead to them being inside or in an area without proper ventilation, posing a suffocation hazard.

Risk: The recalled cat formula may be contaminated with Salmonella and there is risk of cross contamination and illness after handling the cat formula.

What you should do: Consumers with milk allergies should not consume the product as it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Recalled products can be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

Type: Recall

Risk: The products do not meet the labelling requirements and the applicable child-resistant packaging requirements, potentially posing a serious hazard.
