Sausage, beef steak and bacon products recalled for health risks in Mississauga and Brampton

Health Canada reports that multiple products have been recalled from stores in Ontario this week (Apr. 11 to 17) due to potential health and safety risks, including stores in Mississauga and Brampton.
Residents are advised to check if they have these products at home and avoid using or consuming them out of caution.
The following products are affected:
Sunrise Meat & Sausage Ltd. brand Smokies
Risk: The products contain mustard and soy which are not listed on the label.
What you should do: Residents with a mustard or soy allergy should check if the product can be returned to the store it was purchased from.
Fresh Market Foods brand Beef Steak Nuggets and “Pemeal” Back Bacon Chunks
Risk: The products contain anchovy which is not listed on the label.
What you should do: Residents with an anchovy allergy should check if the product can be returned to the store it was purchased from.
Certain Kinder brand chocolate products
Risk: Possible Salmonella contamination. Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick with symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Risks are higher for young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems.
What you should do: Recalled products should be returned to the store where they were purchased. If you think you became sick from eating a recalled product, contact your doctor.
Inari brand Organic Blue Poppy Seeds and Moulin Abénakis brand Organic Poppy Seeds
Risk: Possible Salmonella contamination. Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick with symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Risks are higher for young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems.
What you should do: Recalled products should be returned to the store where they were purchased. If you think you became sick from eating a recalled product, contact your doctor.
Intercity Packers Ltd. brand Oyster N/Shell Royal Miyagi Ow
Risk: Possible norovirus contamination. The main symptoms of norovirus illness are diarrhea, vomiting (children usually experience more vomiting than adults), nausea and stomach cramps. Other symptoms may include low-grade fever, headache, chills, muscle aches and fatigue.
What you should do: Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased. If you think you became sick from eating a recalled product, contact your doctor.
