Dozens of racers dressed in red Santa suits will fill the streets in Niagara on the Lake this month.

The Santa & Elf Run is in town on Dec. 18 (changed from Nov. 27). The fun run has racers dressed up in Santa outfits for a five-kilometre, in-person race.

This year there is also a one-kilometre Elf Run for kids 12 years old and under.

A Santa suit (limited quantity) is included along with chipped timed results.

The scenic race starts at Simcoe Park, heads down Byron Street through Fort George and alongside the Niagara River then returns back to Simcoe Park.

In partnership with NOTL Realty Ltd., the run is raising funds for the NOTL Youth Campus. The NOTL Youth Campus is a program dedicated to creating a safe, accessible and welcoming space for Niagara-on-the-Lake youth ages 12-18 years of age.

Race organizers will also be collecting non-perishable food and gift donations for children for the Newark Neighbours Food Bank.  collecting
