Santa Claus making appearances in Whitby and Orono Saturday

Santa Claus is coming to Whitby Saturday morning for the annual Santa Claus Parade.
The Town will be implementing rolling road closures and parking restrictions along Brock Street in downtown Whitby to support the parade, which begins at 10 a.m. at Brock Street and Manning Road.
The parade will end at Brock Street and Trent Street.
Road closures for the event will be:
- Manning Road from Brock to Garden Street (7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.)
- Brock Street from Manning Road to Burns Street (10 a.m. to noon)
- Trent Street from Brock Street to Byron Street (10 a.m. to noon)
- Byron Street from Trent Street to Burns Street (10 a.m. to noon)
In addition, all vehicles must be removed from Brock Street by 6 a.m. Saturday.
Santa will somehow also be in Orono Saturday morning for a Breakfast with Santa event at Orono Town Hall.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for kids 12 and under and that includes pancakes, sausages, juice and coffee and a gift from Santa.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
