A sandwich shop known for homemade treats has closed its restaurant in Mississauga.

Charlotte’s Homemade Goodies at 315 Traders Blvd. E., north of Square One, announced on Instagram they would close their restaurant on Jan. 31.

The restaurant, run by a mother and daughter duo, was known for its homemade sandwiches, soups and baked goods.

“Unreal homemade soft pretzel bun with some unique sauces,” one person wrote on Reddit about the restaurant.

Another raved it is a “hidden gem.”

In the Instagram message, the owners expressed their sadness to leave the location.

“Thank you for becoming part of our family in these past 9 years,” they wrote. “We are sad to inform that we are moving on, and will be closing our restaurant by January 31st.”

The owners, Charlotte and Jeannette, say the restaurant had become a home.

“Together with you, we created a community where positive vibes, smiles and sharing were part of the underlying atmosphere,” they wrote. “We will miss you.”

But they hint there are plans in the works to continue the business in some form and they will keep the Instagram page open to notify people of future plans.

“So, we are working on some ideas and hope to come up with a way to feed you again,” they write.

Customers can contact the owners through Instagram if they wish to learn more.

In the meantime, the owners thank customers.

“Thank you for all the memories.”
