It’s better late than never for a Brampton man who won nearly $70,000 richer after cashing in a lottery win months ago.
Eric Deguzman from Brampton bought a ticket for the Jan. 24 Lotto 6/49 draw with a jackpot of $5 million and a growing Gold Ball Draw at $10 million.
And while Deguzman missed out on the top prize, he still won a $69,978.10 runner-up second prize.
Lotto 6/49 has a classic draw of a fixed $5 million jackpot for every draw while the Gold Ball Draw guarantees a $1 million prize. The OLG says it supports safe play and responsible gambling through its PlaySmart program.
The winning ticket was bought at a Shell Gas Station on Hurontario Street in Brampton.
