Royal Botanical Gardens will be hosting a March break camp for students aged 6-13 in Burlington and Hamilton.

The camp at the picturesque RBG will allow campers to do things like explore trails and forests, and follow animal tracks.

In order to minimize the threat of COVID-19, RBG said they’re taking additional safety measures this year that include smaller group sizes, a reduction in long-term close proximity activities, and a modification in the daily operation of the program.

Other adjustments include:

  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for campers aged 12 and up
  • Maximized outdoor programming
  • Updated mask policies
  • Smaller group sizes
  • Reduction of long-term close proximity activities
  • No extended care (to minimize camper mixing and maintain the integrity of camp cohorts)
  • No daily camp tickets; full week sessions only (to maintain camp cohorts)

Campers whose 12th birthday was on or after Dec. 20, 2021, will not be required to show proof of vaccination at camp. Campers whose 12th birthday was before Dec. 20, 2021, will be required to show proof of vaccination at camp daily at camp sign-in.

Please note, onsite camp’s operation is subject to organization, municipal, and provincial guidelines in place this March Break. RBG will be in touch with camp families with the most up-to-date information regarding health guidelines and our programs.

Registration for Royal Botanical Gardens’ 2022 March Break Camp will be available for online on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at noon.

The camp will run Mar. 14 to 18, daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost for the five-day camp is $300 plus service fees, and there is a five per cent discount for members.
