Rotary Club of Acton selects ‘citizen of the year’

The Rotary Club of Acton recently announced the person selected to be Acton’s Citizen of the Year for 2022.
While the selection committee, which consists of three former citizens of the year, carefully reviewed various candidate submissions, David McLean was selected as Acton’s Citizen of the Year for 2022.
McLean is currently the President of Hillsview Acton Living (Seniors) Centre and is also the recipient of the 2022 Halton Volunteer Impact Award.
He is also a regular blood bank donor, a long-time Food for Life volunteer and an important figure at Branch 197 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
A nominator also stated that McLean “always goes above and beyond unselfishly helping neighbours.”
An event in honour of McLean is being held on Oct. 11 at the Acton Town Hall Centre.
