If that’s moving up, then I’m moving out to Brampton when The Rose Theater brings the music of Billy Joel to a live audience this spring.

A band of live musicians will play all the tracks from Joel’s 1977 album “The Stranger” as part of the Classic Albums Live series at Brampton’s Rose Theater on May 19.

The album was ranked 169 on Rolling Stone’s most recent 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list, and includes top-40 hits like “Just the Way You Are,” “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song)” and “Only the Good Die Young.”

Tickets for the Classic Albums Live performance are on sale now.

Founded in 2003 by Craig Martin, the Rose said Classic Albums Live takes the greatest albums and recreates them live on stage “note for note, cut for cut, using the best musicians.”

The Rose recently delayed the start of its winter/spring 2022 season under the province’s most recent COVID-19 guidelines for performing arts venues, postponing some performances scheduled for January and February 2022.

Tickets to the winter/spring 2022 season are still on sale at 50 per cent capacity, and the theatre said new dates for postponed performances will be announced in the near future.

“We look forward to welcoming you back to The Rose to experience the power of live performance,” the Rose said in an online statement.
