Rogers reports that an aerial fibre cut by a third-party truck has been responsible for today’s service disruptions.

Crews are currently on the scene making repairs and service will gradually start to return around 5:30 p.m and continue to come back throughout the evening.

The disruption affected internet, television and home phones.

“Our teams are aware and already hard at work to get your services back up and running as soon as possible. We know how important it is to stay connected and are sorry for the interruption,” reads a statement issued on Rogers website.

Reports of the outages began appearing on social media at 1:30 p.m. and complaints continued throughout the day.

Brampton’s Andrea Thompson said the service was down for four hours yesterday and has been intermittent today.

“Actually, it has just gone down again,” she told inbrampton.com this afternoon.
