Robbery attempt outside downtown Burlington ATM has police searching for culprits

An attempted robbery at a downtown Burlington ATM has Halton police searching for three suspects.

According to police, a woman reported that, around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, three youths, two boys and a girl, approached her while she was using an ATM near Brant and Blenheim streets.

One of the youths grabbed the woman by the arm and demanded cash. The victim said she was grabbed by the arm by one of the youths who demanded money. After she refused, two security guards who were driving by stopped and helped her.

The three suspects fled.
