Roadway closed after overnight shooting in Mississauga

Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that happening in the early morning hours today (August 21) in Mississauga.

At 3:06 a.m., it was reported that multiple shots had been fired in the area of Eglinton Ave and Dixie Rd.

Police say there’s no report of any injuries, and no suspect information has been released at this time.

There’s some lane closures in the area as the investigation continues, police say.

Residents should avoid the area.
