Roads closed by the QEW due to serious motorcycle collision in Mississauga

A motorcyclist is in serious condition after a crash involving another vehicle in Mississauga while the crash has choked off traffic right next to Queen Elizabeth Way.
The motorcyclist and a car collided at the Erin Mills Parkway and North Sheridan Way. The motorcyclist was seriously injured in the crash and was whisked to a local trauma centre.
Peel Police received a 911 call about the crash shortly afterwards at 4:56.
North Sheridan runs parallel to the QEW until it veers away to connect with Erin Mills. The southbound lane of Erin Mills Parkway is closed from North Sheridan down to Fowler Drive.
The closure has shut down a 650 metre stretch of road through a commercial area containing numerous restaurants and gas stations right across the street from Van Mills Mall.
However, drivers can bypass the closed section on Leanne Blvd to the west.
