Roads closed after pedestrian hit at the Mississauga and Toronto border

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after they were hit by a car at the Mississauga and Toronto border.
The driver hit the pedestrian on Burnamthorpe Road East west of Mill Road this morning (Feb. 8), Toronto Police Operations said in a tweet at 7:24 a.m.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.
The driver fled the scene but police later found the suspect.
Burnamthorpe Road was closed between Mill Road in Etobicoke and Ponytrail Drive in Mississauga for the police investigation.
Update: At 10:18 a.m. police reported all lanes reopened on Burnamthorpe Road.
