Roads closed after 2 car crash sends one to hospital in Brampton

Peel Regional Police are urging motorists to use alternate routes as a woman has been taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash on a busy road in Brampton this afternoon.
On Sunday (May. 21) shortly after 12:00 p.m., police responded to a collision in the area of Mississauga Rd / Steeles Ave in Brampton
Police say two vehicles were involved in the collision and as a result, one woman has been rushed to the hospital suffering serious injuries.
As investigations are ongoing, officers have not confirmed the identity of the woman injured.
It is unknown if the driver of the other vehicle sustained any injuries or what the cause of the crash was.
Police have temporarily closed off the areas with traffic moving northbound and westbound on Steeles Ave at Mississauga Rd.
The closure could remain up to several hours and may impact travel times. Police are advising motorists to use alternative route for the time being.
