Halton Regional Police have now opened Britannia Rd and Lower Base Line in Milton to motorists after yesterday’s (Mar. 18) snowstorm that caused low visibility and dangerous driving conditions.
On Sunday (Mar. 19) at approximately 12:30 a.m., police closed off Britannia Rd between 6th Line, as well as Trafalgar Rd and Lower Base Line.
Police advised motorists to avoid the area and drive safely.
As of 10 a.m., this morning, Halton police have reopened the area and encourage drivers to pass through with caution as the roadways are still impacted by the winter weather.
ROADS CLOSED: Britannia Road between 6th Line and Trafalgar Road and Lower Base Line between 6th Line and Trafalgar Road are both closed due to weather conditions. Please avoid the area and drive safely. Update to follow once reopened. >cr
