Residents in downtown Mississauga next weekend should be aware of a few planned road closures.

According to a recent statement from the city, a temporary public art project will be installed on the compound walls at   Duke of York Boulevard and Burnhamthorpe Road.

The installation will start 10 pm on Friday, October 26 and last until 6 pm on Sunday, October 28.

During this time, the following closures will be in effect to allow the artist’s team to work safely:

Westbound Burnhamthorpe Road: west of Kariya Gate to Duke of York Boulevard, curb lane closed

Duke of York Boulevard: Burnhamthorpe Road to City Centre Drive:

  • Friday 10 pm – Saturday 9 am: both directions closed
  • Saturday/Sunday 9 am – 5 pm: southbound lane will reopen
  • Saturday 5 pm – Sunday 9 am: both directions closed

In case of rain, the work will be postponed to the following weekend (November 2 to 4).

The city invites residents to check out the display for themselves after the installation is complete.
