A road closure will affect the way motorists in Burlington and Hamilton navigate their way through the cities.

On Tuesday, March 19, the off-ramp from the QEW to Eastport Drive will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The closure is taking place to remove concrete barriers on the ramp for the re-opening of the canal lift bridge for single-lane alternating traffic beginning on March 21. Morning and evening rush hour traffic will be affected.

To accommodate the closure detours have been set up to access Eastport Drive and Beach Boulevard.

Toronto bound from QEW
1. Use the right two lanes to take the Red Hill Valley Parkway exit toward Regional Road 20/Centennial Parkway/Airport.
2. Keep left to continue on Exit 88, follow signs for Centennial Parkway
3. Use any lane to turn left onto North Service Road
4. Continue straight onto Van Wagners Beach Road
5. Turn right on Beach Boulevard or left to take Eastport Drive

Toronto bound from Nikola Tesla Blvd.
1. Take the Woodward Avenue exit toward Eastport Drive or Beach Boulevard.
