Road closure on busy Brampton intersection due to traffic light repair

Peel Regional Police are advising drivers of a temporary road closure following a collision on a busy Brampton road that put a traffic light out of service.
On Saturday (July 15) at approximately 10 a.m., police responded to the area of Castlemore Rd. / Humberwest Pkwy., southwest of Goreway Dr.
According to officers, a collision had happened near the intersection which caused the traffic light to stop working.
Police closed off the area for crew members to fix the light which they said could take up to a couple of hours.
Approximately an hour later, police tweeted that all lanes were reopened, excluding Castlemore Rd. moving in the eastbound direction —where the traffic light is located which needs extra repair time.

Investigators have not mentioned the circumstances of the collision or if anyone was injured.
