A pedestrian was taken to a trauma centre after being hit by a driver in Brampton on Thursday, which has also resulted in a road closure.

Around 9:02 p.m., Peel Regional Police learned that a person who was on foot was struck around Bovaird Drive East and Bramalea Road. Southbound Bramalea Road has been closed all the way to Professors Lake Parkway. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
