Road closed for vehicle accident, natural gas leak in Clarington

A road closure is in effect in Clarington this afternoon (Dec. 28).

At 1:25 p.m., police reported a vehicle accident that had resulted in a natural gas leak on Liberty St S in Bowmanville.

Liberty St S has been closed between King St E and Queen St until further notice.

Enbridge Gas is en route to the scene for repairs.

Residents are asked to avoid the area.
