Two people have been injured including a victim who was airlifted to hospital following a rollover crash in Mississauga on Friday afternoon.
Peel Regional Police say two vehicles were involved in the crash that happened shortly before 2:45 p.m. in the area of Dundas Street West and Cedarglen Gate.
One of the vehicles crashed into a pole and flipped over. Two victims were injured, and police say one was transported to a local hospital by paramedics.
A second victim was airlifted to a local trauma centre, and photos from the scene show Peel police blocking off traffic with an Ornge air ambulance overhead.
Police have not released any additional details about the victims or their condition.
Dundas Street West has been closed from Wolfdale Road to Glengarry Road and police say drivers in the area can expect lengthy delays.
Drivers should avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible.
The crash is the second this week where victims of crashes in Mississauga were airlifted to hospital. A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash in Mississauga on Wednesday afternoon that prompted a road closure and the landing of an air ambulance helicopter in a residential area.
The cause of the earlier collision has not been released and the investigation remains ongoing.
