ROAD CLOSED: Crash with police cruiser sends drivers to hospital in Brampton

Two drivers have been rushed to hospital following a crash with a police cruiser that closed part of a busy Brampton road.

The two-vehicle crash happened at Chinguacousy Road and Bonnie Braes Drive around 5 p.m. on Monday, Peel Regional Police say.

One of the vehicles was a police cruiser.

Police say both drivers were taken to a local hospital “as a precaution,” and that their injuries are “believed to be minor.”

Chinguacousy Road has been closed at Bonnie Braes Drive while police investigate the collision.

Drivers should avoid the area and find alternate routes while the closure is in place.
