Road closed as Hamilton police respond to person in crisis with ‘self-inflicted injuries’

Police closed an area of Hughson St North Tuesday (Aug. 31) afternoon between Barton and Robert St after responding to a call regarding a person in crisis.
The Hamilton Police Service sent a tweet at 2:20 p.m. stating the individual was taken to hospital to be treated for “self-inflicted injuries.”
Closures were still in effect for a police investigation.
Hughson Street North closed between Barton Street and Robert Street, after police responded to a person in crisis call. Individual has been taken to hospital for self inflicted injuries. Scene being held. Investigation is ongoing.
