Road Closed After Woman Struck by Vehicle in Mississauga

Police and paramedics are on scene following a collision involving a pedestrian in Mississauga.
Peel police say emergency crews are in the Airport Road and Morning Star area for an adult female pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Police say the victim is awake at this time and being assessed by Paramedics.
The vehicle remained on scene.
Roadways will be closed for a time.

Paramedics are currently treating and transporting a woman in critical condition from the area. Residents are asked to avoid the area.
Police say the pedestrian is an elderly south Asian woman wearing a hip length brown fur coat and red rimmed glasses.
Residents are asked to contact the Major Collision Bureau with any information.
UPDATE:
Police say the woman has been identified. She has been transferred to a trauma centre for treatment of her injuries. The roadway has been re-opened.
