Road closed after vehicle hits hydro pole near Pearson Airport in Mississauga

UPDATE UPDATE: – Road closure is expected to last until 9:30 p.m. or 10:30 p.m. Peel Regional Police are asking commuters to use alternate routes and thanks for your patience.
A major road is closed after a vehicle crashed into a hydro pole near Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
The vehicle struck the pole on Derry Road East, near Airport Road and Goreway Drive, just before 8 a.m. Wednesday, Peel Regional Police said.
The driver was not injured and no other vehicles were involved in the crash, police added.
Police said hydro lines are down as a result of the crash.
Derry Road was closed to traffic between Airport Road and Goreway Drive, police said.
Drivers are urged to use alternate routes.
