Road Closed After Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle in Mississauga

Police and paramedics are on scene for a collision this evening.

Paramedics were called around 11:20 p.m. after a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area of Goreway Drive and Derry Road.

The victim is being transported to a trauma centre with critical injuries.

Goreway is currently closed northbound from Dorcas Street to Etude Drive.

Residents should avoid the area until further notice.

UPDATE: The roadway has reopened and injuries to the pedestrian were deemed non-life-threatening.
