Camp 31 BBQ is one of five BBQ trucks set up for the St. Catharines Rotary Ribfest this weekend.

The St. Catharines Rotary Ribfest is back in Montebello Park this weekend and organizers seem eager to make up for lost time.

Last held in 2019, it starts today (July 29) and runs right through until Monday. Hours are 11:30 am to 11 pm, today, tomorrow and Sunday and 11:30 am to 8 pm on Monda.

Five of the biggest rib places from the U.S. and Canada will set up shop in those monstrous two-storey trailers – Silver Bullet BBQ, Bone Daddys BBQ, Uncle Sams BBQ, Billy Bones BBQ and Camp 31 BBQ.

It is expected that over 30,000 people will be coming through the park this weekend and while they are there, it’ll be a jam-fest as bands are lined up all four days.

Tonight, at 5 pm, Broken Cadence will hit the stage followed by Jonesy at 8 to 11 pm.

Tomorrow, as well as Sunday, there will be a fill slate of music. Chris Chambers takes the stage at noon followed by The Athertones at 2:30 pm. Back In The Daze will be up there at 5 pm and the closer will be Vinyl Flux at 8 pm.

More of the same on July 31 as North Of 49 fires up the tunes at noon followed by Clockwork at 2:30 pm. The Cowboy Junkies, one of the 1990s bigger Canadian bands, are on stage at 5 pm with By Design closing out the night starting at 8 pm.

A shorter schedule on August 1, the Civic Holiday, as Tim Atherton hits the stage at noon followed by The Marty Allen Band at 2:30 pm. The big finale will be Soul Jam up there at 5 pm.
