Ribfest returns for 3 ‘finger-lickin’ days in Mississauga

The Mississauga Rotary Ribfest returns this weekend for a ‘sizzling celebration’ in support of the new hospital and healthcare in the city.

This year’s “finger-lickin’” Mississauga Rotary Ribfest will be in the north parking lot of the Erin Mills Town Centre this weekend, July 14 to 16, the Rotary Clubs of Mississauga and Mississauga West announced.

Six “ribbers” will serve pork and beef ribs, chicken, sausages and more. There will also be a diverse range of food options, including Halal choice.

The ribbers this year are Big Texas BBQ, Sticky Fingers, Camp 31, Uncle Sam’s, Billy Bones BBQ, and Crabby’s BBQ Shack.

There will be music with live performances from Fiddle Stix, Mountain Lion Trappers and other bands as well as many cultural entertainers throughout the day and into the evening.

And there are activities for children including balloon art, face painting and games.

There are VIP Passes available for $25 which includes admission, a fast pass to bypass lineups and a shaded premium view of the stage. The VIP Pass Plus for $45 also includes a half-rack dinner and five raffle tickets.

Regular admission is $2 (cash) per person, children five years old and under are free.

All proceeds will go towards Trillium Health Partners and other Rotary-supported charities.

The funds donated to Trillium Health Partners will lifesaving equipment for the future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital. Once complete, the new, 24-storey hospital will be the largest in Canada. Construction is set to start in 2025.

Ribfest will be in the north parking lot of Erin Mills Town Centre, 5100 Erin Mills Pkwy. on Friday (July 14) and Saturday (July 15), from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., entrance gates close at 10:45 p.m. Sunday (July 16) the event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., entrance gates close at 6:45 p.m.
