Ribfest happening this weekend in this Ontario town

Milton is the place to be this weekend if you want ribs and beer.

The Milton Rib and Beer Festival is happening from Friday to Sunday at the Community Sports Park, located at 805 Santa Maria Boulevard, which is in the area of Regional Road 25 and Louis St. Laurent Avenue.

There will be ribbers, a beer market and live music.

“Savour the best BBQ ribs at the Milton leg of the Northern Heat Rib Series,” the event site says.

“Indulge in perfectly cooked ribs from from the best BBQ ribbers around, offering a flavour-packed adventure unlike any other.”

The event is happening from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Gates close one hour before closing time. Admission costs $3 but is free for children under five.

“Wash it all down at our Beer Market, brought to you by Budweiser, featuring an ice-cold selection of Labatt products,” organizers said.

“Plus, enjoy a variety of Pelee Island wine, and ready-to-drink Mike’s Hard coolers, Canadian Club mixers and Black Fly frozen beverages.”

Drink tickets can be purchased at a tent near the bar and the tickets can then be redeemed for beer, wine, or another alcoholic beverage.

Last call for ticket purchases is one hour before closing and last call for the Beer Market tent is 30 minutes before closing.

As mentioned, the event will also feature live music.
