There’s a spot in Brampton dishing out Indian street food with a fusion twist.

Dessi Road celebrated its grand reopening in Brampton this week, serving up traditionally inspired Indian street food dishes with a modern spin on casual Indian cuisine.

From more traditional dishes like Chicken Tikka Masala and Dessi Chicken Curry, but also explores flavour combinations with fusion Indo-Italian pasta creations and Indian takes on Chinese cuisine.

The menu also includes many vegetarian options and decadent desserts like Rasmalai Cake and Gulab Jamun.

Dessi Road says it uses the freshest ingredients for each dish which is “delicately prepared to highlight the robust flavours of the Bombay region,” the restaurant’s website reads.

“Our chef has worked in some of India’s most prestigious kitchens and is incredibly passionate about providing authentic, delicious, and beautiful fare,” Dessi Road says.

Dessi Road got a visit from Mayor Patrick Brown and Wards 1 and 5 Councillors Rowena Santos for the grand opening, and the restaurant got the seal of approval from Brown, who said on Twitter that “their food is delicious.”

You can visit Dessi Road at 185 Fletchers Creek Blvd. from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. seven days a week. Visit www.DesiRoad.ca for more information and to view the menu.
