Restaurants and bars in Halton Hills can now apply for the Town’s outdoor patio program.

The initiative called “Al Fresco in the Hills” was created to support restaurants, bars and other food and drink establishments by providing them with an opportunity to add additional dining space in an effort to reduce revenue losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result, eligible restaurants will be permitted to set up temporary patios on their private property as well as in a public parking space or sidewalk in front of or beside their business.

Applicants are reminded that approvals issued are non-renewable and are subject to an application process.

Those interested in applying may email the Clerk of Halton Hills, Valerie Petryniak.
