CLOSURE: Chicken chain closes after leasing issues in Mississauga

There are few things quite as satisfying as digging into a plate of messy chicken wings, letting the sauce fall where it may as you savour the taste of each wing. It’s about as “living in the moment” as you can get with food.

For lovers of messy wings in Mississauga, Chicken N Dough is a must-try.

The restaurant, located at 1706 Dundas Street East, specializes in some of the best pizza and wings in the city. The menu features 1 lb, 2 lb, 3 lb, and 5 lb chicken wings with a huge variety of classic and unique flavours: Honey mustard, cajun ranch, butter chicken, garlic parmesan and more.

For the thrill seekers who love some heat with their wings, there’s the extra spicy “Chicken on Fire” and the extremely spicy “Bloody Mary” with extra hot green chillies.

Chicken N Dough also has pizza with a variety of toppings, and sides including fries, cajun fries, onion rings, cheesy garlic bread and more. There’s also multiple pountine options including wings poutine, pizza poutine and shawarma poutine.

THE DISH:

For my first dish here I tried the 1 lb Messy Wings, and I can’t recommend them enough.

This is a sizeable plate of juicy and flavourful chicken wings, smothered with a generous amount of chipotle sauce, creamy garlic sauce, and parmesan. As the name implies, expect a mess when digging into these!

The already amazing taste of the chicken is made even better with the tangy and slightly spicy chipotle, combined with the super flavourful garlic sauce and parmesan cheese. Not only do these wings taste great, there’s a whole lot of them (even for being the smallest quantity available), so this is the perfect dish for satisfying both quality and quantity.

THE UNIQUE:

Aside from wings, Chicken N Dough also specializes in pizza with a number of toppings including pepperoni, chicken, ham, bacon, sausage, ground beef, green peppers, hot peppers, olives, pineapple and more. The restaurant offers delivery via its website as well, which is a nice option to have for those game days that are just meant for some delicious pizza and wings.

Chicken N Dough’s chicken wings are also halal, as are their meat toppings on their pizzas (not including bacon and sausage).

THE VERDICT:

For some of the best messy wings (and best chicken wings in general!) in Mississauga, you can’t go wrong with Chicken N Dough. I loved what I tried and definitely plan on going back to try some of their other flavours as well.
