A new Chipotle Mexican Grill has officially opened in Mississauga.

Spokesperson Annie Gradinger confirmed to INsauga.com that Mississauga’s fifth location of the “fast-casual” chain has opened at 2975 Eglinton Avenue.

That’s at the intersection of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Eglinton Avenue.

Chipotle serves burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, salads and more.

The new spot is open every day from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

It has replaced an old Swiss Chalet location that closed down in March 2024 and reopened elsewhere.

Chipotle has a long history in the U.S. The first Chipotle opened in 1993 across from the University of Denver. Founder Steve Ells first started serving burritos inspired by the San Francisco Mission District.

There are now more than 3,700 locations around the world, with over 50 across Canada.
