Residents being evacuated after potential explosive found in Brampton

Officers are investigating a potential bomb or explosive device found in Brampton this afternoon (Dec. 19).
Police say a suspicious package was located behind a vehicle in a driveway in the area of Buster Dr and Grover Rd (near the intersection of Steeles and James Potter Rd).
The call came in at 1:15 p.m.
Nearby residents have been evacuated as Peel police’s Explosive Disposal Unit (EDU) investigates the scene.
Residents should avoid the area until further notice.
