Two six-story condominiums are being considered for the Glenorchy neighbourhood in north Oakville.

A report going to Oakville committee Monday on a planned residential condominium by Mattamy Limited at 98 Kaitting Trail is looking for approval to go to Town Council.

A site plan application for the condominium with 263 apartment units and 10 townhouse units was submitted in June of 2019 and the applicant received final site plan approval on January 25, 2021.

Construction has since commenced on-site.

The apartment units, divided across two six-story buildings on an approximately 1.5 hectare site, will be located on Kaitting Trail, just north of Dundas St., between the Sixth Line/Dundas St. and Preserve Dr./Dundas St. intersections.

The plan also includes 393 parking spaces and 263 resident plus 50 visitor bicycle parking spaces.

Town staff is recommending approval of the draft plan of condominium, saying the proposal is consistent with the Livable Oakville Plan, represents good planning and is in the public interest.
