Rented house used as home base by group out to steal luxury cars in Mississauga, police say

Seven from Quebec charged with car thefts in Mississauga

Five men and two 17-year-olds from Montreal and other parts of Quebec are facing various charges after police identified a number of people from out of town who had rented an east Mississauga home with the alleged intention of using it as a home base while they sought to steal luxury vehicles in the area.

Peel Regional Police auto theft investigators said in a news release today that a raid last Thursday on a short-term rental in the area of Cawthra and Burnhamthorpe roads led to the arrests of seven people.

Police say they had earlier become aware of several men staying at a residence whom they believed were in the city “to steal high-end vehicles.”

Facing various charges including conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, assault and possessing automobile master key are:

  • Mamadi Kaba, 19, of Montreal
  • Samir Nekmouche, 20, of Quebec
  • Izad Cheikh Ahmed, 19, of Montreal
  • Ayman Fellouh, 19, of Quebec
  • Adlene Zebiche, 19, of Montreal
  • two 17-year-olds, of Montreal

All were held for bail hearings.

Zebiche is additionally charged with forcible confinement, extortion and obstruct peace officer.
