Renovations to Milton Sports Centre’s parking lot will cause grief for local drivers
Milton residents heading to the Milton Sports Centre this summer may have to negotiate some construction zones.
Portions of the parking lot at the Milton Sports Centre will undergo phased parking lot improvements throughout the spring and summer.
The first construction phase will see the south parking lot temporarily closed to the public from May 29 to June 20. During construction, visitors can park at the Milton Sports Centre’s north parking lot and access the southeast parking lot, near Milton Community Park, through the McLaughlin Ave. entrance.
Improvements to the south parking lot will include the removal and replacement of existing asphalt, concrete curbs and line painting.
A second phase of construction will take place from July 3 to 31 and will include improvements to the Santa Maria Blvd. primary parking lot driveway entrance and access laneway that connects the north and south parking lots.
During this construction phase, the south parking lot will be reopened and accessible only by the McLaughlin Ave. entrance as the Santa Maria Blvd. entrance will be closed for construction.
