Registration available at schools in Milton, Oakville and Burlington

The Halton District School Board (HDSB) is offering families of elementary students the opportunity to register their child(ren) this summer for the start of school in September.

Although schools are closed in July and the first three weeks of August, school registration will be available this summer at three schools in Milton, Oakville and Burlington so families can prepare for the upcoming school year.

Viola Desmond Public School in Milton, C.H. Norton Public School in Burlington and Oodenawi Public School in Oakville will be open for in-person registration on specific dates.

In-person registration for all elementary schools in Oakville will be available at Oodenawi Public School, located at 385 Sixteen Mile Dr. on July 11, 12, 18 and 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In-person registration for all elementary schools in Milton will be available at Viola Desmond Public School, located at 1450 Leger Way on July 14, 15, 18 and 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In-person registration for all elementary schools in Burlington will be available at C.H. Norton Public School, located at 2120 Cleaver Ave. on July 11, 12, 18 and 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Families are being asked to bring several original documents when registering.

These include proof of age (birth certificate, passport, or baptismal/faith record for your child) and proof of address (any two of the following documents: lease or deed, car registration, utility bill, residential telephone bill, moving bill, property tax bill, bank statement, credit card statement or correspondence with a government agency.) Please note that a driver’s license will not be accepted as documentation for proof of address.

Families must also bring proof of citizenship (birth certificate, passport, Record of Landing or Permanent Resident Card).

If you are not the parent and your child is under 18 years of age, you must provide proof of custody (court order).
