RED CARD CLOSURE: Popular bar and restaurant forced to close in Mississauga

A Mississauga restaurant has been shut down after a routine inspection found numerous health code violations.
The Valley Bar and Grill, located at 680 Silver Creek Blvd, was the subject of a routine health inspection on Thursday, April 4.
According to the official report provided by the Region of Peel, the location failed to meet the bare minimum for food safety procedures.
This included failure to prevent contamination by keeping sanitizer stations adequately maintained and sanitizing utensils. Additional violations include, but are not limited to, failure to keep food-contact surfaces clean, provide sufficient lighting and failure to keep the location clean and free of pests.
The restaurant was shut down as of this Thursday and will remain closed until a follow-up inspection is passed.
The restaurant passed two previous inspections in 2023.
