Recycle or buy a used bike at this upcoming event in Halton Hills

Halton Hills residents who are interested in recycling their old bikes or purchasing a used one in an environmentally friendly way will have the opportunity to do so at the upcoming annual Bike Swap event in Georgetown.

All proceeds from the event, which will take place on Sept. 11, will be donated to local food banks.

Donated bikes and trikes in working condition can be dropped off at the Norval United Church parking lot, located at 14015 Danby Road in Georgetown from September 8-10, 2021 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. or on the morning of the event between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Bikes may also be purchased on Sept. 11, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Norval United Church. Bikes will be sold “as is” and all purchases will be cash only.

Kids’ bikes will be available for $10, youth bikes will be available for $20 and adult bikes will be individually priced.

Attendees will be asked to wear masks and sanitize their hands before entering the display area.
