The recalled detergents have a packaging issue due to the product’s manufacturing, making the child-resistant features ineffective. This flaw could lead to accidental exposure, posing serious health risks.

The company reported that 56,741 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between September 2023 to February 2024.

Risks: Potential illness if ingested by children and other injuries.

What you should do: Consumers are urged to immediately put the recalled product out of children’s sight and reach and to get in touch with P and G. Those affected will receive a pre-paid gift card, a cabinet latch, and an empty replacement bag, which includes a child-resistant closure.

As of April 2, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
