RECALL: Possible glass pieces in milk sold in Canada

Certain milk products have been recalled in Canada because they may contain pieces of glass, officials say.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said in a notice Thursday that the affected products should be thrown out or returned to where they were purchased.

One of six affected products was distributed nationally. Four were distributed in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. And one was distributed in Quebec.

The CFIA is advising consumers to check to see if they have any of the affected milk.

“Do not consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute recalled products,” the agency said.

Officials said the recall was triggered by the company.

The notice didn’t say if any injuries have been reported.

The CFIA said it’s conducting an investigation that could lead to more products being recalled.

“The CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled products from the marketplace,” they added.
