RECALL: Pieces of rubber found in food sold in Canada

Certain foods have been recalled in Canada due to pieces of rubber, officials say.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said Thursday that Hak brand Kale and Spinach are the affected products.

The Kale products are 340 g and 680 g in size and have the codes LG262 up to and including LG292, the agency said.

The 340 g product has the UPC number 8720600608605 and the 680 g product’s UPC number is 8720600609824.

The spinach products are 330 g and 630 g in size, also with the codes LG262 up to and including LG292, the CFIA said.

The UPC number for the 330 g size is 8720600608940 and for the 630 g it is 8720600609817.

They were distributed in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta.

“Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products,” the recall notice said.
