Thousands of vehicles have been recalled in Canada because officials say parts could fall off of them.

“On certain vehicles, the window trims on the front doors may not have been secured properly,” Transport Canada said in a recall notice.

“As a result, the trim(s) could loosen and separate from the vehicle. Trim that detaches from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.”

The recall is from Fiat Chrysler and involves 8,535 vehicles in Canada.

The affected models are the 2022 to 2025 Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Transport Canada said that the company will notify owners in writing and advise them to take their SUV to a dealership for an inspection.

If needed, the window trim(s) will be replaced.
