RECALL: Overheating issue prompts recall of nearly 82,000 vehicles in Canada

Nearly 82,000 vehicles have been recalled in Canada due to an overheating issue.

“Under certain conditions, the infotainment system could overheat,” Transport Canada said in a notice.

“As a result, the rearview camera image may not display when the transmission is shifted into reverse….

“A rearview camera image that doesn’t display could reduce a driver’s ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.”

COSTCO RECALLS: List of food items impacted in Canada

The recall is from Ford and the following models / model years are impacted:

  • Bronco: 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026
  • Edge: 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

Overall, there are 81,850 vehicles that are affected in Canada.

Ford will notify owners about the recall by mail.

They will be advised to take their vehicle to a dealership for a software update.
