Health Canada is recalling numerous store-brand cold and flu powdered medications that were sold in drugstores such as Shoppers Drug Mart, Pharmasave, Rexall and London Drugs.

The federal agency said the manufacturer, CellChem Pharmaceuticals Inc., is recalling all lots of several products due to potential health risks. The company could not demonstrate that products remain safe and of good quality until their expiry date, and multiple lots had inconsistent quantities of active ingredients in the products. Multiple lots had active ingredients, such as acetaminophen, that were not in the amounts listed on the product label.

Store-brand products are often sold in packaging unique to the store (such as Shoppers’ Life brand). Health Canada has provided a full sideshow of the affected products that should not be used.

A list appears below:

Health Canada identified these issues during an inspection. The company initiated a recall in September of certain powdered cold and flu medications, and it is now being expanded.
