RECALL: Kid’s pyjamas recalled due to flammability hazard in Canada

Canadian customers who bought a specific brand of children’s pyjamas are being told to dispose of the item due to a flammability hazard.

The recall is for Michley-branded children’s one-piece pajamas in green with a dinosaur patch, in pink with a bunny patch, in yellow with a giraffe patch and in purple with a rabbit patch.

Health Canada says the Michley-branded pyjamas violate the flammability requirements for kids’ sleepwear and pose a risk of burn injuries to children.

The affected items were sold in sizes 80 through 130. They have “Michley” and the size printed on a sewn-in seam label, the health agency says. The products were made in China and brought into Canada by SHEIN Distribution Canada Limited.

“Immediately stop using the recalled product, safely dispose of it in such a way that it cannot be used again and contact SHEIN Distribution Canada Limited for a refund,” Health Canada says.

Consumers should stop using the recalled product and safely dispose of it in such a way that it cannot be used again. The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away.

Over 60 units of the recalled pyjamas were sold in Canada with no injuries reported, the health agency says. The affected products were sold from May 2025 to December 2025.

Health Canada says loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can contact ignition sources like stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child’s body.
