Certain vehicles have been recalled in Canada because their engines “could fail suddenly,” officials say.
“On certain vehicles, the engine may not have been manufactured properly,” Transport Canada said in a notice.
“As a result, the engine could fail and cause a loss of power to the wheels…. A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.”
The recall is from Ford. The 2025 and 2026 Bronco, Explorer, and Ranger models are impacted.

Transport Canada said the recall only affects certain vehicles that have a 2.3 L engine.
Overall, 159 vehicles are affected in Canada, according to the notice.
Ford will notify owners about the issue by mail.
They will be advised to take their vehicle to a dealership to have the engine replaced.
